2007 Build for the Cure™ Idea House

Description

The 2007 Build for the Cure Idea House, with its Spanish Colonial architecture and estate-like setting, transcends time with authentic architectural designs and unique details reminiscent of the classic 1920s Colonials from the grand period of great Hollywood estates.

Built on two lots in Bella Rosa Estates, the two-story Idea House exudes elegance beginning with the estate setting as a perfect backdrop to the magnificent outdoor spaces that allows for gracious entertaining. The entryway to the home makes a stunning statement with an expansive foyer anchored by a “floating” staircase that unites the living, dining and gallery hall spaces. Family-oriented living areas abound originating with the family room-kitchen-library comprehensive spaces completed by four generous bedrooms including a magnificent master suite. Authentic features include stucco exterior, wood beams, old-world fireplaces, refined arch details and trims and European-inspired verandas.

This was the fourth time that the Arkansas Affiliate has participated in Susan G. Komen Build for the Cure™. The previous three projects resulted in overwhelming success. Each house involved over 20 designers, 50 corporate and vendor sponsors, and hundreds of volunteers. To learn more about the previous idea houses, click on the links below:
