The Conway Regional Health Foundation offers a full service women’s imaging center equipped with the latest technology including digital mammography and breast MRI. It is a leader in breast cancer awareness events in Faulkner County. Touching Lives II is a breast health care program for women in Conway and surrounding Faulkner County. In Touching Lives, CRHF will address women’s most immediate and serious breast health needs as identified in the Komen 2006 Community Profile for this geographic area. Touching Lives will provide these Services:

(1) Breast health education (BHE) for women at various accessible sites in Faulkner County and a few nearby areas. Several BHE sessions will target seniors and specific minority groups. Many community entities will help promote and/or host the BHE sessions.

(2) Screening mammograms and other follow-up diagnostic procedures for eligible uninsured/eligible women who live in the target service area. Women will learn about breast health screenings funded by this grant when they attend a BHE session, visit their local physician, and other healthcare professionals, or observe Log Cabin Democrat articles/print promotions or promotional activities which CRHF will conduct.

(3) Some patients will receive limited interpretive services and/or patient transportation stipends.
