St. Edward Mercy Health System’s To Save A Life program offers free mammograms and breast diagnostic procedures to residents of Franklin, Logan, Scott, and Yell Counties who are uninsured or underinsured, and have a low income and otherwise would not be able to receive these life-saving services. Mammogram screenings are provided to these rural Arkansas counties via the St. Edward Mercy Mobile Mammography Unit. Patients requiring further breast diagnostic procedures are treated at St. Edward Mercy Medical Center. The To Save a Life program also provides educational resources through participating in local health fairs, hosting various educational events, and partnering with employers, churches, and community organizations. Finally, realizing the difficulty for many individuals in navigating health care services, To Save a Life provides personal assistance in accessing various support services, including scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements, and locating other community social services.
