IMAGINE THE IMPACT 

How does a 5K Race make a huge impact on the global movement to end breast cancer forever?  Through the fundraising efforts of every participant.

You don’t need to be a fundraising expert to be successful at it – you just need the desire to stand up to breast cancer and make a difference.  Thanks to people like you that registered and raised funds in the 2011 Race, the Komen Arkansas Affiliate was able to fund over $1 million for education, screening and treatment services in 63 of the 75 Arkansas counties.  this year, we’re aiming even higher!  If every Race participant raised an average of $150 over the registration fee, the Komen Arkansas Affiliate would raise an additional $6.75 million!  Together, we can save lives!

Fundraising is easy with online fundraising tools! When you register for the Race (registration will open June 2012), you automatically receive your own fundraising website which can be personalized. Then, you just log in and begin encouraging everyone you know to visit your site, see what you are doing in the fight against breast cancer and make a donation on your behalf. Up to 75 percent of net proceeds generated by the Affiliate stays right here in the local community! The remaining income goes to the national Susan G. Komen for the Cure Grants Program to fund research.

Earn FABULOUS Prizes

In addition to knowing you are someone's HERO by raising additional funds to pay for
mammograms and treatment, you could also have earned fabulous prizes at the same time!

Levels of recognition and rewards were based on the participant's total of all pledge money
(online as well as checks and cash) turned in by November 22,2011.

INDIVIDUAL FUNDRAISING PRIZES FROM THE 2011 RACE:

Raised $150 to $300 and you won the newly designed HOPE RUNS ON HEROES T-Shirt. 
 

Raised $301 to $600 and you got the T-Shirt and the 2nd in the series
of original art prints by local artist Jim Johnson.



Raised $601 to $1,000 and you got the T-Shirt, art print and a $25 Gift Card from USA Drug.

Raised $1,001 and more, and you got the T-Shirt, art print, $25 Gift Card from USA Drug
and a Susan G. Komen pink leather bracelet from Pandora - Park Plaza.  Perfect to add additional charms!
